Peachtree Corners Business Association donates $2,500 to United Way of Greater Atlanta
The Peachtree Corners Business Association (PCBA) awarded a check for $2,500 at our December 2025 PCBA Business After Hours Holiday Celebration event to United Way of Greater Atlanta - Gwinnett County Region!
The Mission of United Way of Greater Atlanta - Gwinnett County is to engage and bring together people and resources to drive sustainable and equitable improvements in the well-being of children, families, and individuals in the community.
"Greater Atlanta is one of the most vibrant regions in the country, but the region has significant barriers to realizing its potential in the future because of its continued ranking at the bottom of the list of metro areas in income mobility" stated Vanessa Roussell, United Way Senior Director of Corporate Relations. "Children born in low-income households have only a 4% chance of getting out of poverty in their lifetime. We at United Way of Greater Atlanta don’t like those odds. Our work is about changing them so that children — regardless of where they’re born — have the chance to realize their potential and build lives that sustain themselves, their families, and their communities" stated Roussell.

United is the way to build a stronger community. Right now, 47% of hard-working Gwinnett residents aren't making enough to cover the basic cost of living. But together, we can help our neighbors build financial stability and work towards a brighter future.

“The PCBA is proud to donate a check for $2,500 to United Way of Greater Atlanta - Gwinnett County. Our Outreach Committee and Board our committed to support our community and investing in the well being of the children in our community aligns with our core principles," stated Lisa Proctor, PCBA President. "We know that our dollars will be targeted to help those at highest risk in our local community. We are glad to have the local Gwinnett chapter located right here in our community, and in the same building as Corners Outreach" stated Proctor.
Funds for the PCBA Community Outreach program are raised throughout the year from PCBA membership, sponsorship, and our annual charity event. Donations and scholarships are awarded at our monthly events so our members have the opportunity to learn more about these organizations. Over the last 13 years, the PCBA has proudly awarded 20 scholarships and donated in excess of $184,000+ into our metro Atlanta community.
